Two things were very dear to Rudolf Reinhold’s heart when establishing his foundation in 1992: The discovery, promotion and support of young, talented pianists and to re-establish a wider variety of piano sounds on concert stages by re-introducing a more diverse range of manufacturers. Mr. Reinhold, a pharmacist in Danzig, confidently placed these tasks in the hands of Ingbert Blüthner, who has been leading the Alfred-Reinhold-Foundation’s projects with great enthusiasm and passion ever since.
A wide-ranging portfolio includes concert series in music capitals such as Leipzig, London, Paris and Vienna, master classes with internationally renowned artists as well as collaborations with prestigious universities such as the Royal College of Music in London, the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna or the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris to name but a few.
Furthermore the foundation takes great pleasure in supporting national and international piano competitions with monetary prizes as well as performance opportunities, scholarships and CD productions.
The Foundation attaches particular importance to fostering close relationships with our friends, who are musically active for us worldwide and whose projects we support with great pleasure.
The foundation would like to say a big thank you to our loyal local partners for their organisational and logistical support of our projects and their continued hard work to make our combined visions become reality.
